This movie is so relevant to my film opening for so many reasons.
"Therese Belivet (Rooney Mara) spots the beautiful, elegant Carol (Cate Blanchett) perusing the doll displays in a 1950s Manhattan department store. The two women develop a fast bond that becomes a love with complicated consequences."
My film opening has two women that are in love but have complication, much like this movie. They are conflicted as their actions have consequence, much like my opening. I think, to understand more about lesbian love films I will have to watch this to get a feel for them, as the way this opens or is made, may change my ideas completely.
Better safe then sorry...
