Vertigo Films

In this blog I will be looking at what Vertigo Films is and what films they have produced and how well they have done.

Vertigo Films have produced and distributed 65 films, here are just some of the titles...

Vertigo Films is a UK film and distribution company. It was founded by Allan Niblo and James Richardson in 2002. Since then they have made 65 films and added memeers such as Rupert Preston and Nick Love (these two became partners in the company). The Company has produced 28 films and distributed 35. These films range in genre and audiences; they included the box office smash hit Streetdance 3D, the biggest independent Uk DVD of all time The Football Factory and multi award winning Monsters.

In 2013 Vertigo produced Pudsey The Movie (a co-production with Simon Cowell's company Syco). However, much to Simon Cowell's surprise the movie was a big bust!! On Rotten Tomatoes the film did not get a good review at all...

They also produced Monsters: The Dark Continent, which was also a huge disaster. You could say that this was due to the new director Tom Green, however, there is a debate whether due to a lack of marketing the film did not do too well (I will go into this issue in another blog).

However, Vertigo does own a successful post production company in Berlin, The Post Republic and is a partner in sales company Protagonist Pictures with Film 4 and Ingenious.
